DESCRIPTION:\n\n\nRecientemente ha fallecido D. Lawence G. Marshall \, nuestro amigo inglés. \n\n\n\nNacido en 1930\, trabajó principalmente en la banca Lloyds..Desde el principio se dedicó a fotografiar trenes con tracción vapor\, publicando su primer libro “Southern Railways (1919-1959)” sobre este tema en Gran Bretaña. \n\n\n\nLa primera visita a nuestro país ocurrió en 1956. Después de varios viajes\, en 1965 publica el libro “Steam on the Renfe”\, y que posteriormente fue reeditado en castellano en el año 1998  con el título de “Los tiempos del vapor en Renfe”. \n\n\n\n En 1999 se reedita “Recuerdo del vapor en la vía estrecha española” \n\n\n\nCuando ya se acaba el vapor en España recorre otros países que aún los mantenían como son Cuba\, India\, y Pakistán. \n\n\n\nEn el museo del ferrocarril de Madrid se le dio un merecido homenaje\, en donde se plantó un árbol con su nombre. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDescanse en paz \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
